Interesting little stove (00 size).. With pump rod demountable travelling cap & Paraffin pre heater .. noting the venting around the riser . Small foldable legs & the Bat logo on the tank base ........ Age unknown D.R.G.M stamped on the pre heater lifter.
What a beauty! I love the illustrated tin, a real period piece. Not sue that the Marsh Arab (?) and the North American Indian shown would have used one but full marks for trying. The factory with railway line and lorry are just perfect.

What a smasher, but you would think pre heating with paraffin would be a smoky smelly affair. Have you tried it ?
i have with my monitor regal once the airartion collar is lowerd it burns with a blue flame so theres no smoke but ther is a bit of a smell with this system even after the pre heater is extinguished it seems to give off a smell as the wick still has paraffin residue a great idea but i whould only ever use out doors. in fact i have pics of my regal in the reference gallery with the pre heater working

Noting on Bat tin & stove the marking ' Foreign' No notice of origin on Hasag tin .. Though on Hasag stove its marked ' Made in Germany '. Same stove/tin .. Different markings . Nick
